Bollywood actor Kajol has supported her husband Ajay Devgn’s decision of not working with Pakistani artistes ‘as of now’, The Indian Express reported on Saturday.

Devgn’s film Shivaay is set to release along with Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil this month. Devgn said he wasn't concerned about his film not releasing in Pakistan. This is the time to stand by the nation, the seasoned Bollywood actor went on to say.

Pakistani artists threatened to leave India

Backing her husband's statement, Kajol tweeted her support saying, “So proud of my husband for taking a non-political and absolutely correct stand.”

Elaborating on his position, Devgn made it clear that he was not going to share screen space with any Pakistani artiste for the time being.

"Not at the moment. I am very clear on this because you are an Indian first. I don't care if my film doesn't release in Pakistan. Their artistes are standing by their nation. They are earning here but are sticking by their nation. We should learn from them," he said.

The resolution came after Indian nationalist party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) warned all Pakistani artistes in India to leave the country. The MNS also demanded a ban on Bollywood films featuring Pakistani actors.
