ISLAMABAD: A confab of director generals of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday mulled the possibility of setting up an asset management and tracking cell (AMTC) at regional offices or at the body’s headquarters to dispose cases of confiscated properties.

This was suggested on the second day of the 21st NAB DGs conference in Islamabad.

Officials also suggested setting up a cell at the NAB headquarters to verify and disburse claims in mega cases of cheating the public.

It was further suggested that there was a need to devise a mechanism to analyse all significant cases in line with good national and international practices, so that the bureau’s investigators can learn about different cases.

NAB Chairman, Qamar Zaman Chaudry,  said that the bureau had to redouble its efforts to come up to the expectations of the people. He appreciated the hard work and commitment shown by all ranks of NAB officers.
