ISLAMABAD: On a day when the Auditor General of Pakistan,  released a damaging  audit report  disclosing the loss of  billions of rupees  by  the CDA  for approving illegal plans of housing societies, the FIA Tuesday lodged an FIR against one housing society for allegedly violating its approved layout plans.

The case was registered against the office bearers of the Mutli-Professional Cooperative Housing Society (MPCHS) from 2008 onwards on CDA’s complaint for allegedly encroaching upon land meant for amenity purposes and for violating its  approved layout plan.

According to the complaint, MPCHS had encroached upon land earmarked as “right of way” between itself and CDA’s sector A-17. The society developed and allotted 90 residential and eight commercial plots on the land. They also allegedly reduced the green belt by 2.4 per cent unilaterally.
