Muharram security: Police nab 14 criminals from Rajanpur

MULTAN: As part of the security measures and maintaining peace during Muharram, the police arrested at least 14 suspects during a search operation in Rajanpur District on Monday.

While addressing a press conference, Rajanpur SDPO Asif Rasheed told journalists that eight suspects were wanted criminals, while six others were apprehended over suspicion.

He added arms and ammunition was also seized from the possession of the criminals.

The official maintained search operations were conducted in areas of Kacha and Kot Mithan in relation to Muharram security.

“Security has been increased at the entrance and exit routes of the city,” he added.

He said police has taken foolproof security measures to ensure peace in the city during Muharram.

The SDPO further said CCTVs have been installed at the routes of the processions.
