Commander Southern: Peace ‘if militants bid farewell to arms’

Militants to be accepted fully for peace: commander Southern Command

QUETTA: Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz has said we will accept militants with open arms if they lay down their weapons for the sake of peace and progress in Balochistan.



The commander southern command said this while addressing the closing ceremony of T20 cricket tournament in Ayub Stadium Quetta on Saturday night. Riaz said India is busy committing atrocities in Kashmir, adding that, “Kashmiris bury their dead in the Pakistani flag which proves that their independence movement cannot be ignored.”

The Lt Gen added that people of Balochistan have replied to the Indians by chanting slogans in favour of Pakistan. He reiterated that the route of progress goes through Balochistan and it is an important province for us.



Home Minister Balochistan Sarfaraz Bugti, Sardar Aslam Bizenjo, IG FC Sher Afgun, Chief Selector of National team Inzimamul Haq, Moin Khan, Mushtaq Ahmed and other government officials were present during the ceremony.
