LAHORE: Lahore High Court Judge Muhammad Yawar Ali on Monday referred a petition by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) about possible arrests of its workers to a full bench already hearing a petition against the party’s forthcoming protest in Raiwind. PTI lawyers’ wing leader Gohar Nawaz Sindhu had filed a petition expressing apprehensions that the police is planning to arrest party workers in a bid to sabotage a protest held by the party on September 30. He requested the court to restrain the police from harassing and arresting PTI workers. Ali heard the arguments and referred the petition to a full bench that already took up a petition against the Raiwind protest. The full bench will hear the case on September 28.
