Development: Govt plans Rs82b projects in federal areas
FATA gets Rs25.8b, AJK Rs26.3b and G-B Rs27.9b
ISLAMABAD:
The federal government is spending Rs81.59 billion to execute different projects in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and federally administered areas this year.
The federally administered areas where the projects will be executed include ICT, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B). In this regard, the government has earmarked Rs42 billion as block allocation and Rs39.59 billion for projects in the current Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
According to the data issued by Planning and Development Division, during the financial year 2016-17, an amount of Rs1.426 billion has been allocated in PSDP for ICT, Rs25.883 billion for Fata, Rs26.347 billion for AJK and Rs27.934 billion for G-B to execute development projects.
