Temba Bavuma was the star of the show as South Africa flexed their muscle against minnows Ireland, registering a whopping 206-run win at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, South Africa.

Ireland put the hosts in to bat but would have been rueing the decision as a 159-run stand between Bavuma (113 off 123 balls) and Quinton de Kock (82 off 66 balls) took the game away from them very early on.

Jean-Paul Duminy and Farhaan Behardien then scored attacking half-centuries at the end of the innings to take South Africa to 354-5. Behardien in particular was in devastating mood, bring up his 50 off just 21 balls before being dismissed off the last delivery of the innings.

Ireland, in contrast, had a nightmare start as skipper William Porterfield was dismissed on only the second ball. Wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals as Ireland never really threatened to make a game of it.
