Reactions: Kashmiri leaders welcome Nawaz’s UN speech

PM Farooq Haider said India should withdraw its troops from Indian Occupied Kashmir

MUZAFFARABAD: Kashmiri leaders from across the Line of Control hailed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s address at the United Nation General Assembly session where he raised the Kashmir issue and spoke on the atrocities committed by the Indian forces.

Prime Minister Farooq Haider said India should withdraw its troops from Indian Occupied Kashmir adding that the premier’s speech was the voice of every Kashmiri. “We are proud of Nawaz’s historical speech on Kashmir dispute to remind the world community of their role for the settlement of the issue”.

“Prime minister’s address was accurate and close to the hearts of the Kashmiris and we are happy on such a bold speech,” incarcerated Kashmiri leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said.

Through another statement Syed Ali Shah Geelani said the line adopted by the premier in his speech should continuously be followed to pressurise India.
