Wahi Pandhi college

Letter September 22, 2016
Education must be a priority of the government

JOHI: In 2011, a degree college was announced for Wahi Pandhi, a major area of Kachho, by then education minister Pir Mazharul Haq in the previous tenure of the PPP government. The construction work began immediately but after the elections of 2013, the work was stopped. Consequently, half of the college building was left incomplete. No one took notice of the delinquency in this matter. Due to the unavailability of the college building, the college had been functioning in the Government Boys High School on the Wahi Pandhi premises since 2011, where the school’s education has been heavily disturbed.

Students of Wahi Pandhi College go to Johi College for educational purpose and examinations, which is 30 kilometres from Wahi Pandi. We request the chief minister of Sindh and other officials concerned to look into the matter and take necessary steps for the completion of the building meant to house a degree college for Wahi Pandhi — at the earliest. Education must be a priority of the government.
