LAHORE: In order to celebrate the International Peace Day, a seminar was

organised at the Town Hall on Wednesday by the City District Government Lahore.

The seminar focused on equal rights for all citizens regardless of their religion. Lahore District Coordination Officer (DCO) Capt (r) Muhammad Usman said the Constitution of Pakistan had given equal rights to all citizens of the country. “It doesn’t matter if you are a minority, every citizen of the country has equal rights under the law,” he stated.

“We need to understand that minorities should be able to coexist and allowed to practice their religion freely. If we understand the basic concepts of Islam and Constitution of Pakistan we can easily maintain peace in the country and the region,” he said.
