A number of Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra condemned the recent Uri attack in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Salman Khan's father Salim Khan followed suit, in a manner that certainly does not befit a man of his stature. Khan, a celebrated scriptwriter, tweeted that no one listened to what Sharif had to say, according to his own admission.

"Beg your pardon Mr Sharif, If people those who gave you your name knew what your characteristics would be, they would have named you Be-Nawaz Sharir," Khan also tweeted.

Ongoing: ‘I was hoping the problem would be over’

Salim's comments come in the wake of Sunday's terror attack on an Indian army camp in Jammu and Kashmir which left 18 soldiers dead. India blamed the attack on Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad.
