FAISALABAD: Three more dengue patients were admitted in Divisional Headquarters and Allied Hospital on Monday within 24 hours. The patients who contracted dengue fever were identified as Haleema Bibi, Hamida Bibi and Abdullah. Meanwhile, in the rest of the province, 19 dengue patients are undergoing treatment. Officials of the health department told The Express Tribune, three people died of the disease in Punjab in 2016. Of these, two deaths were reported at Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi and one at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Over the last 24 hours, eight patients were brought to Lahore Hospital and six in Rawalpindi hospitals on account of dengue fever. As many as 1,969 patients who have shown symptoms of dengue fever have been admitted over the last eight months.
