Two suspected suicide bombers held in Swabi

Two people arrested on suspicion of planning to conduct a suicide bombing in Swabi.

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of planning to conduct a suicide bombing in Swabi on Sunday, according to Express 24/7.

The two suspects were reportedly carrying suicide bomber vests each containing eight kilogrammes of explosives.

Law enforcement agencies conducted a raid in the Chhota Lahore area of Swabi district after being tipped off. The suspects were found hiding in a poultry farm in the area.

The identities of the two alleged would-be bombers have not been revealed, nor has it been ascertained as to which militant organisation they are affiliated with. Their target is also unknown at this stage.

Both individuals have been moved to an undisclosed location by law enforcement agencies for interrogation.
