Offering Condolences: Bilawal visits house of martyred cop

Strict security measures were adopted for the VVIP visit

SUKKUR: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited the house of martyred policeman Mohammad Rafiq Qureshi on Monday, who lost his life while stopping the suicide bomber outside a Shikarpur imambargah on Eid Day. Bilawal was accompanied by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and senior party and fovernment officials. Bilawal gave away a cash reward of Rs50,000 each to the policemen and others who played a vital role in stopping the suicide bomber, according to officials present at the event. CM Shah also paid rich tributes to the Sindh police for its sacrifices in fighting the terrorists, while speaking to the media. Later, Bilawal arrived in Sultankot, where he went to the house of former PPP MPA Agha Taimoor Khan Pathan to offer condolences on Taimoor’s father Agha Tariq Khan Pathan’s death. Strict security measures were adopted for the VVIP visit and the Sukkur-Shikarpur road remained close for traffic for two hours.
