The 68th Emmy Awards took place on Sunday  and besides it being a star studded event, it was a night full of surprises and moments we will cherish for a good time.

Game of Thrones makes history at Emmys

1. Game of Thrones broke records

Game of Thrones has broken the record for the highest number of primetime Emmy Awards won by any show. The series triumphed in 12 of the 24 categories it was nominated at Sunday night's ceremony, winning Best series as well.

The cutest moment of the awards was when sandwiches made by Jimmy Kimmel's mother were distributed on a bicycle by Millie, Caleb and Gaten of Stranger Things.

Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra was among the A-list presenters of the night. She graced the stage with Tom Hiddleston to present the award for Best Direction for a Limited Series, Movie or Special to Susanne Bier for The Night Manager.
