Capacity-building: AIOU, NGO join hands to promote quality education

AIOU VC says the agreement would help develop a positive and constructive attitude at all levels of academia

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and Omar Asghar Khan Centre for Development (OAKCD) have joined hands in an effort to promote quality education through capacity building and advocacy said a press release issued here on Sunday.

Under the agreement, both will work out a strategy that aims to initiate, implement and coordinate educational interventions pertaining to training and research to foster quality learning.

Moreover, both parties have also agreed to collaborate for the establishment of the “Information and Research Centre on Inclusive Education” at the AIOU premises.

The AIOU Vice-Chancellor, Shahid Siddiqui, said that the agreement would help develop a positive and constructive attitude at all levels of academia.

He said that the university had made concerted efforts to train staff.
