Amitabh Bachchan is pulling out all the stops when it comes to promoting his upcoming film Pink. But we aren't complaining. It's all for a good cause.

After penning an emotional letter to his granddaughters, the actor has now taken to video to highlight the kind of stereotypical statements a modern Indian woman has to live with, in silence. Here's where Big B comes in, to first act as a ventriloquist who voices society's thoughts and then to urge women to use their voice and speak up against discrimination.

In the video titled Amitabh Unblushed, the veteran actor voices every compromise a woman makes by staying silent; moments when cliched statement such as, 'Log kia kahen gay' are thrown their way.

From their dressing style to their salary structure, the powerful video reveals how a woman is controlled by societal norms.

"Everyone is staring, jeans hi pehen li hoti yaar."

It also sheds light on the expectations from women to behave 'like a girl.'

Women in our society are accustomed to say 'I'm sorry', 'I'm fine', 'Thank you', 'People will think' without meaning it, as they compromise silently.

Bachchan comes back in the end to reveal the hard hitting reality of how Indian women live, while urging them to not compromise anymore (#AbSamjhautaNahin)
