Unhygienic: Two food outlets sealed in Multan

MULTAN: A special task force has been formed by the DCO to check the sale of unhygienic food in Multan district.

The team will be headed by Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Secretary Kashif Dogar. Dogar said that Almaida Pizza, located at Kutchehry Road and Ideal Bakers had been sealed on Friday. “We have also issued warnings to five restaurants. They will be sealed if they do not improve their hygiene standards,” he said.

Dogar said that the team was inspecting kitchens, refrigerators and overall cleanliness at restaurants. “Cases will be registered against hotel owners who did not implement hygiene laws,” he said. Multan DCO Nadir Chattha said the crackdown would continue till Eidul Azha. “Restaurant owners have been directed to keep their kitchens clean and ensure provision of hygienic and quality food to customers,” he said.
