Vocational training: Hunar Mela kicks off

PESHAWAR: Hunar Mela was organised in Peshawar on Friday to increase and promote vocational education in tribal areas. Different models of health technology, electronic, solar technology gemological, marble technology and handicrafts were displayed in the festival. Students from Fata and other areas participated in the event. FATA Additional Chief Secretary Fida Wazir, who was the chief guest of the festival, addressed the participants said the absence of vocational training has resulted in millions of young people being unemployed in the region. He emphasised the importance of technical education to properly train the new generation.
