The Emmy and Oscar-winning filmmaker captured the process of transforming hard stone into works of art. This film is dedicated to the talented artisans of Peshawar in Northern Pakistan and Afghanistan, according to the film's official page.

Following the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, thousands of artisans possessing exceptional skills of great artistic and historic value poured into Peshawar. Around two decades later, Peshawar itself is beset with violence.
