It seems that Padukone has even started outshining her male counterparts on this account. In a recent interview, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that Deepika was paid more than him for their film Piku, Cosmopolitan reports. "I can tell you one thing, in Piku, Deepika Padukone was paid more than me," he said.

Reports are also making rounds that Padukone demanded over INR12 crores for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati. The actor features alongside Vin Diesel in xXx: Return of Xander Cage. The film is slated to release in January, 2017.
