Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) vice-chancellor (VC) Dr Syed Jawaid Rizvi expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of eminent educationist Dr Abdul Wahab, former VC of University of Karachi (KU), who passed away after a decade-long battle against cancer, leaving behind three sons and a daughter. The death of Dr Wahab was an irreparable loss and his services in the realm of education and contribution to promote the quality of education and academic activities will always be remembered, said Rizvi, adding that Wahab laid indelible marks as KU’s vice-chancellor and director of the Institute of Business Administration. He prayed to Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
