LAHORE: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) on Monday launched a drive titled Sweet Candy Traffic Education Campaign to educate commuters about road safety. “Under the drive, children are nominated as Road-safety Ambassadors,” a spokesman for the NH&MP said in a statement. “Researches have shown that road-safety messages yield better results if these are communicated by children to their elders,” he said. He said children travelling on the motorway were handed candies. NH&MP IG Shaukat Hayat, DIG Imtiaz Shah and SSP Masroor Alam Kolachi oversaw the campaign.
