Iconic Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone dismissed rumours of his death by tweeting a picture of himself with boxer Sergey Kovalev, reported The Indian Express. The Rocky star found himself caught in the middle of a death hoax on Saturday, which took social media by storm and threw many of his fans off track.

In response, Stallone shared a snap of himself looking healthy and happy, holding up his fists with Kovzalev. Without actually referring to the hoax, the actor simply brushed it off with a cheeky smile and the boxing pose, proving he’s as fit as ever. He even captioned the picture, “With the incredibly powerful, unified light heavyweight champion, Sergey ‘Krusher’ Kovzalev. Whatever he hits, he destroys.”

The shocking rumour surfaced on the internet when a fake news story – allegedly from news site CNN – began doing the rounds on social media. When readers clicked on the link of the spam article, it automatically got shared on their pages too, instead of directing them to the article. This left fans in dismay but they have, after all, got their idol back.

Of course, this was not the first time a hoax death report of a celebrity has made the rounds. Well known stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Angelina Jolie have also been victims of such incidents previously, wherein the news got circulated without anyone verifying its source.
