India lost quite a few aircraft, including choppers, during the opening rounds of Kargil. In fact, they avoided using them later on.

Who lost which war ?
1948 War - Pakistan successfully liberated half of Kashmir and got control over it, now called Azad Kashmir. Pakistan was successful in getting 2 UN resolutions in its favor. How Pakistan lost it?
1965 war - The biggest battle of tanks, losses on both sides. It was a mutually agreed ceasefire, no body surrendered, so how Pakistan lost it?
1971 war - Pakistan did not lose to India, Pakistan lost to bengalis. Which army in the world would fight for the people who disown them during the war/conflict and stab them in their backs, cut off their supply lines? If I was the general, I could have surrendered too instead of wasting 90000 soldiers' lives.
1999 Kargil War - Pakistan got India by its neck. They almost lost siachen as supply lines were cut for them but then again our leaders surrendered to international pressure and bowed infront of Bill Clinton. We lost politically, there were heavy damages on the Indian side.
So who lost which war. ET will you publish it ??????

I know it like the back of my hand. I was in Bombay at that time, being Pakistanis, my father was arrested on 11th Sept 1965 and he spent 3 months in a POW camp at Visapur, then deported on 24 Dec by ship to Karachi. I was 16 at that time. Well one thing I would definitely love to share. Once the siren was sounded, and those Indians scattered for shelter, hiding under carts and bus stands. Every Hindu was shivering on hearing about Pakistan. We felt proud, and we could see how well we were treated.
