Ranbir Kapoor suffered the biggest setback of his career in 2015 when his film Bombay Velvet failed to impress audience and the critics alike.

However, a year after the box office debacle director Anurag Kashyap has opened up about letting the Tamasha star down. “I think we, as a team, have let him down in many ways. Ranbir is a fantastic artist, a brilliant human being and an actor who wanted to try out something different."

"He wanted to experiment which not many stars would want to do. And we failed him terribly. I feel completely responsible for this," the 43-year-old filmmaker was quoted as saying by Pinkvilla.
