Swat university: ‘Shangla campus will help development’ 

At least 100 laptops will be provided to the students of Swat university

SHANGLA: The newly-established Shangla Campus of University of Swat will contribute significantly towards development in the region.

This was said by Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and mentioned in a handout issued on Sunday. He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Shangla campus of the varsity at Alpuri.

The governor also addressed a large gathering of elders and residents. Prime Minister’s Adviser Amir Muqam was also present on the occasion. On the occasion, Jhagra said the prime minister’s fee reimbursement and laptop schemes were meant to facilitate the students.

“At least 100 laptops will be provided to the students of Swat university,” the document cited him as saying.   Jhagra hoped that the campus will achieve the objective of providing quality education in Shangla. The governor also vowed to extend all possible support to the institution in its future endeavours. He also promised to take necessary steps to establish a cadet college in the district.
