Editor-in-chief and publisher of English daily Pakistan Observer Zahid Malik passed away on Thursday at the age of 78.
The Namaz-i-Janaza of the veteran journalist, who passed away after a protracted illness will be offered at 5pm at H-8 Graveyard, Islamabad. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the author, scholar, analyst and former bureaucrat, Radio Pakistan reported.
Legendary poet Rahmatullah Dard passes away
President Mamnoon Hussain has also expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Malik. In his message, he said the services of Zahid Malik in the field of journalism will be remembered for all times to come.
Adviser on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui has also expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Zahid Malik. He said Zahid Malik was a true Pakistani immersed in love for the ideology of Pakistan.
