Voice of dissent: Threat feared for business in Chitral  

CHITRAL: The president  of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Haji Muhammad Khan, said unfavourable elements were trying to take over businesses and resources in Chitral.

Speaking at a news conference at Chitral Press Club. Muhammad Khan said a non-local business group was trying to occupy the business arena in the district, creating hurdles for local traders.

He said local businesspersons were frightened that their trade might suffer a downfall.

When the process completed in 2012 and the Chitrali company was called to sign the final deed and hand the security deposit, the non-local company swooped in to halt the process.
