Money matters: Chitral tehsil council approves budget  

He said the budget was prepared considering the condition of damaged roads and infrastructure

CHITRAL: The tehsil council of Chitral unanimously approved the budget for fiscal year 2016-17 on Tuesday. The collective deficit budget currently stands at Rs46,748,000, but Rs125,800,000 are expected to be added as development funds. However, the total requirement of revenue in Chitral is Rs203,400,000 for expenses and salaries of municipal employees. A well-attended budget session was held at the district council hall. It was chaired by the convener of Chitral’s tehsil council, Khan Hayatullah Khan. He said the budget was prepared considering the condition of damaged roads and infrastructure and 100% of the development funds will be used for reconstruction and progress work.
