Chic and comfy: Rocking the pyjama look, outside the bedroom

Do we need any more incentive?

Let’s face it. We have all been told off by our mothers for roaming around the house all day in our favourite PJs. From silk gowns to comfy cotton trousers, nightwear is something we all wish we could just live in. As fashion takes its unexpected twists and turns, bringing to the world a wide array of style inspirations, certain A-list celebrities have recently been spotted rocking the pyjama look when they’re out and about, looking absolutely stunning without compromising on comfort. Do we need any more incentive?

Compiled from Vogue, here are a few casual PJ looks that style diva and Umbrella cronner Rihanna has sported over the years at various occasions.

1.-The Diamonds hit-maker first caught our eye with her daring, casual look at the grand opening of Jay Z’s 40/40 Club in Brooklyn. The starlet donned a pale printed silk blouse and matching trousers with Manolo Blahnik sandals. A short, choppy haircut, dark nails and a chunky necklace – Rihanna, even in her bedroom look, seemed like a million bucks.

2- At the premiere of Battleship, the star pretty much nailed the PJ look. With her hair and make-up done immaculately, Rihanna stepped on the red carpet wearing a blue silk suit of matching separates. The gold detailing on her outfit, paired with gold jewellery and nude heels actually seemed to be working in her favour at the event.

3- She doesn’t just rock the PJ look at red carpets, random walks and movie premieres – she carries it to weddings too. At a friend’s reception in New York recently, she opted for a silken floral robe dress paired with Tom Ford metallic sandals. She was seen sporting a messy up-do, complementing the whole look with bold violet lips and a small metallic clutch.
