On August 23, the high commission posted a tweet comparing Islamabad's Faisal Mosque with Ahmadi worship place Baitun Nur in Calgary.

In response, a Canadian-Pakistani tweeted saying, "Bait nur - Qadianis are declared non-muslims by courts-and muslims. You must respect court judgment?"

The following twitter exchange culminated in the Anti-Ahmadiyya troll being shut down by the high commission.

Calgary's Baitun Nur opened in 2008. The worship place was constructed by the Jamaat-i-Ahmadiyya. Many Ahmadis have been compelled to seek refuge in Canada due to rising violence in Pakistan.

Usama Bin | 7 years ago | Reply How can a court ruling and the law of the land both be called a rule, specially by people we consider the pinnacle of law enforcement and who we admire for their enforcement of the law. Does this not expose, even if to an extent, the degree of ethnocentrism that exists in the west.
