Out of 58,101 registered candidates, 33,194 passed the exams, with a success rate of 57.8 per cent, 670 students remained absent, said a press statement issued by the board.
Pass percentage of private candidates remained 19.6, as only 488 students managed to pass the exam out of 2,491.
Further analysis of the HSSC-I results reveals that 10,200 students failed in one subject, 6,535 in two, 4,054 in three, 1,787 in four, 1,050 in five, 468 in six, while 106 students failed in all seven subjects.
The press statement further read that 28 cases of use of unfair means were reported during the exams.
