Talking to a news channel, he said all the skilled Pakistanis would definitely benefit from the upcoming opportunities available after the Brexit - Britain’s exit from the European Union - was completely executed.

According to the high commissioner, Brexit is a win-win situation for Pakistan as in addition to job openings, the Pakistan government is also contemplating engaging in talks for a preferential trade agreement with the United Kingdom so that the country could enjoy the same facilities as it did under the GSP Plus status of the EU.
Responding to a question, he said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had created a positive image of Pakistan amongst the global business community.

He said now Pakistan was seen as a land of opportunities unlike in the past when its markets were being ignored by UK investors. “British investors are ready to invest in Pakistan in different fields as a result of the confidence provided through CPEC.”
Abbas said skilled youth from Pakistan were going to find lots of job opportunities in fields like medicine and information technology. Every individual with the right skills and education would have the potential to grow in different professions, he said.
