Elections: PFUJ notifies Aug 25 as last date for withdrawals

PESHAWAR: The election committee of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has said the last date for withdrawing nomination papers of contesting candidates is August 25.

In a statement issued on Monday, the election committee stated it should receive withdrawals 24 hours prior to the Biennial Delegates Meeting that will begin on Aug 26. Therefore, it asked for the withdrawal requests to reach the committee by Aug 25. The election committee said the final list of candidates would be displayed at the venues of the BDM on August 26. It added the polling for PFUJ elections would be held at Peshawar Press Club on August 27.
