ISLAMABAD: Two policemen were dismissed from service for taking bribe.

Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sajid Kiani on Sunday terminated services of two policemen for taking bribe from a truck driver.

He said that the two police officials, Munawar and Naveed serving at Industrial Area Police Station faced allegations of taking bribe from a truck driver.

On inquiry, they were found guilty and the SSP ordered to immediately dismiss them from service.

Both were arrested by the Industrial area police after registration of a case against them.

Police high-ups took notice of the matter after a video showing a police official taking bribe from a truck crew went viral on social media.

The SSP has said that corruption in Islamabad police is intolerable and no relaxation would be given to those involved in such practices.
