He said the kidnappers had cut off his tongue for raising a hue and cry. Police say they are yet to find evidence to corroborate his claims.
The boy said that he had fainted from excessive bleeding. When he regained consciousness, the abductors had abandoned him on a deserted road outside the city. A petrol station worker saw him and helped him inform his family.
Civil Lines police said they had registered a case. “However, we have found no evidence to support the boy’s claim.”
