Lack of transparency

Letter August 19, 2016
The absence of meritocracy in the system has disappointed a large number of interested candidates

TURBAT: Lack of transparency exists in the Balochistan education sector, particularly with regard to the Central Superior Services (CSS) exam. Well-qualified students are unable to pass the test. Only people with exceptionally high academic standings are accepted, while the rest are taken in on the basis of political recommendations.

The absence of meritocracy in the system has disappointed a large number of interested candidates. I request the Government of Balochistan to take serious action in this regard, to improve the future prospects of Balochistan’s bright youth.
