PESHAWAR: Sites should be identified for different stations for the proposed Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit project. This was sais by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak. He was presiding over a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Thursday. The scheme is to kick off towards the end of 2016. CM’s Special Assistant for Transport, Malik Shah Mohammad Wazir, Strategic Support Unit head Sahibzada Saeed and administrative Secretaries of relevant departments attended the meeting. Addressing participants, the chief minister asked authorities to widen and clear alternative routes for the diversion of traffic once the project is put on ground. “The traffic flow should not be obstructed,” he added. He also called for the expansion of bridges, roads and underpasses for commercial activities in the areas.
