However, before you freak out, the bar has only been named after Bin Laden as its long-bearded owner bears a resemblance to the Sept 11, 2001 attacks mastermind, reports NYT. José Felipe de Araújo, the owner of the bar told the NY T that everyone just started calling him Bin Laden and the name stuck.

“After Sept 11, everyone started calling me Bin Laden for obvious reasons. The nickname stuck, so I decided to use it to my advantage,” he said.
According to the report, Araújo, 60, a former manual labourer who opened his establishment more than a decade ago. He entertains customers from around the globe with dishes like grilled sirloin, pizzas and tall bottles of Antarctica beer served “stupidly cold” as is the practice in Rio de Janeiro.

However, the entertainment is not just limited to Jose behind the bar, it even has a regular funk singer named MC Bin Laden. Furthermore, according to NYT, another joint by the same name has built up a steady clientele in São Paulo.
