NAB reviewing graft cases against Sharifs: Chaudhry

Chaudhry said close scrutiny of cases was necessary so that only the culprits are held accountable

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has said the accountability institution is closely scrutinising all graft cases, including those against the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family.

Speaking to media outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan premises on Wednesday, Chaudhry said close scrutiny of cases was necessary so that only the culprits are held accountable and no one is unjustly treated.

“NAB will pursue all the cases of corruption till their logical end,” he said, adding that graft was a cancer which was needed to be rooted to from the country. He said the inquiry against the Sharifs and Chaudhries had to be extended as the cases against them had been closed.
