A senior police official told The Express Tribune, the bodies were found in Gajju Khan and identities of the deceased had yet to be ascertained.
“All three people were shot in the head,” he said. “Their bodies were dumped on the side of the road.” He added the police shifted the bodies to the hospital for an autopsy. “All of the deceased were between 30 and 33,” he said. “There were torture marks on the corpses.”
Adviser to the Chief Minister on Industries Abdul Kareem Khan, Mardan DIG and Swabi DPO Javed Iqbal attended the last rites of the Zaida SHO. On Monday night, Asghar was on patrol when unidentified gunmen opened fire on his police van. The SHO died on the spot while three others, including two police personnel, were wounded.
Asghar was shifted to the hospital in critical condition, but succumbed to his injuries.
