Bannu University: Hurdles to be dealt with

BANNU: The administration of University of Science and Technology Bannu has decided to initiate a movement against the protesting staff and those officials who create hurdles in development of the university. For the purpose, Academic Staff Movement was established that comprised of heads of different departments.  While speaking to The Express Tribune on Monday, they said some members from the faculty and staff violated the rules and regulations of the university and protested for ulterior motives. They added the move aimed to hurt the position of the university. They further said due to the protests and disturbances in the university, the administration failed to present its project completion report on time and as a result, funds for development of the university were not sanctioned. The officials maintained some elements were bent upon creating hurdles in the way of university activities. They also appealed the students, parents and the people of Bannu to support them and save the university from destruction.
