Murdered: Trader found dead in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD: A trader was found dead in Abbottabad on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Akhtar Hussain Gami and was the owner of Gami Adda. According to the police, Tariq Farooq, one of Gami’s business partners, said the man left his shop to have lunch at his house on Saturday afternoon. However, he did not return. Farooq said he tried to call him on his phone but did not receive a response. However, Farooq said, he and residents of the surrounding houses entered Gami’s house where he was living. They found him dead inside the house. According to the police, the assailants had tied the 65-year-old man’s hands and legs with a rope and slit his throat with a sharp object. The police have yet to ascertain if anything was stolen from the house or not.
