This Independence Day, Farhan Akhtar and many other artists will join hands with the Robin Hood Army to feed underprivileged Pakistanis and Indians.

The artists, including Farhan, Vishal Dadlani and Clinton Cerejoto, will sing the Mission 500k anthem with volunteers from Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Mumbai, New Delhi and Chennai.

"The Robin Hood Army's desire to feed half a million people across India and Pakistan this year on their respective Independence Days is an effort I whole-heartedly support," the Dil Dhadakne Do actor was quoted as saying according to Mumbai Mirror.

Speaking to The Express Tribune earlier, Co-founder of the Karachi chapter Anam Rafiq revealed the aim of their Independence Day mission.

This plan is in line with last year’s tradition of feeding 100,000 hungry people in India and Pakistan during Independence Day festivities in both the countries.

Amna Khan | 7 years ago | Reply Before talking of feeding poor how about ensuring basic human right to live, exist and breathe in Indian held Kashmir, where daily umpteen innocent are shot at. Such measures are not only hogwash but also hypocritical, masking the evil doings with philanthropy. If Indian actors are so concerned about human well being, let us see them initiating talks on GROSS HUMAN RIGHT ABUSES in Indian Held Kashmir.
