From new services to new avatars, national flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been making changes in the company's outlook for quite some time now.

If you're a fashion enthusiast get ready for these new wardrobe changes the airline has made for its cabin crew, including air hostesses and stewards.

The PIA cabin crew will now sport new uniforms by local designers.

The dress is designed by Nomi Ansari and the scarfs will be made by Sania Maskatiya.

The uniforms will be worn from August 14 onwards as PIA's new premier flight takes off from Islamabad to London.

It looks like the airline has traveled a long journey of makeover.

Mehreen Chandan | 8 years ago | Reply @ mohinder sandhu: The look is decidedly Pakistani, not Arab - the big clue is the shalwar kurta. Perhaps you mean the way the scarf is tucked into the hat - even that isn't really Arab. Love the new clothes.

Frank Mossman | 8 years ago | Reply The very best of luck to PIA and its beautiful hostesses ! PIA was one of the world's premier airlines in the 1960s, on a par with PanAm, Lufthansa & Swissair. They lived up to their slogan "Great People to fly with". Nomi's uniform design is also exemplary. That PIA chose an excellent Pakistani designer rather than (the House of) Pierre Cardin or other foreign designers (as it did in the past), is also a very encouraging development. Showcase Pakistan at all levels !

MK | 8 years ago | Reply After an article appeared in a Pakistani news column how hindi is being influenced over Urdu language in Pakistan, can't help but find hindi word AVATARS in this column. This particular word AVATAR is being used in Hindi mythological books since hundreds of years and now finding a place in Pakistani news columns. Interesting even Pakistani news columns are getting influenced by Hindi words.
