In the aftermath of Quetta massacre, the law enforcement agencies have sped up their hunt for criminals in the metropolis and apprehended around 100 suspects during separate raids on Wednesday.

On a tip-off, South district police conducted an overnight targeted operation in Hazara Colony, located in Defence. The entire locality was cordoned off during the operation. During the door-to-door search, police apprehended nearly 44 suspects and shifted them to different police stations. Union council 37 Qayyumabad’s general councilor Aqib Tanoli was also among the detainees. Tanoli told the media that he was intercepted by the police near Kala Pul, adding that the police took him into custody even though he showed them his identification. Similarly, as many as 45 suspects were arrested during a targeted operation in Taiser Town. The accused were shifted to an undisclosed location for further questioning. Police also found weapons in few of the suspects’ possession. Separately, four more suspected criminals were taken into custody by the police during a raid in Ghausia Colony, in PIB Colony.
