Capital punishment: ATC awards death penalty to four
The court acquitted four of the co-accused giving them the benefit of doubt
LAHORE:
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday awarded death penalty to four men in a triple murder case. The court also fined them Rs310,000 each. The court acquitted four of the co-accused giving them the benefit of doubt. According to prosecution, Babar Ali, Noor Haider, Arsalan Waheed, Faisal Rafique, Waris Butt, Faisal, Qaisar and Haris Ali had shot dead Muhammad Younus, Muhammad Bilal and Riasat Ali in Badami Bagh in 2014. Four other people had also been injured in the attack. Three accused in the case have been declared as absconders.
