Withdrawal of customs act: Traders welcome president’s approval  

The traders’ federation also termed the notification ‘a victory’ people of Malakand Division

MINGORA: Swat Traders Federation has welcomed the president’s approval to formally withdraw the Customs Act, 1969 from Malakand Division. A press release issued by Swat Traders Federation on Wednesday stated, “The extension of Customs Act, 1969 in Malakand Division was sent for approval on March 28 and has now been withdrawn by the President Mamnoon Hussain.” The press release added the copy of the notification was received by the office of traders’ federation in Swat. It added as per the document, the notification would now be sent to the governor for further actions. The traders’ federation also termed the notification ‘a victory’ people of Malakand Division.”
